Transparent Enabling
Transparent enabling eliminates the need for IT support, Java coding or manual content changes
required by other solutions.
Let us help you understand the difference between transparent enabling and "traditional" JavaScript-enabling methods.

Traditional JavaScript enabling

The integration of your web pages with a conversion rate optimization (CRO) solution can be done in many ways: server side programming, reverse proxy, and client-side Java scripting. The large majority of web applications, including web analytics and other CRO products, use client-side Java scripting as shown below:

A web visitor's browser will first receive an HTML file containing Javascript from your web server. Before showing any content to the web visitor, your web browser will execute the Javascript embedded in the HTML file (red elements within the HTML file). This Javascript then connects to the CRO solution, fetches and finally renders the variable page content.

The main issue with this kind of Javascript is that it is hard-coded solely for the purpose of a single CRO experiment. Any change in the experiment setup requires new Java script "wiring." Additionally, Javascript must be inserted in content-specific locations within the HTML file. This is complicated and error-prone manual labor that requires a certain level of technical expertise to complete - risky business!

Transparent Enabling

Hiconversion's CRO is powered by a patent-pending Javascript method that dramatically simplifies setup, integration, and ongoing use. Instead of experiment-specific hard-coding, our customers are using a generic Javascript that continues to support all future experiments during the lifetime of that page.

These two scripts are placed in generic locations. And, if this is complicated, our system can automatically inject the scripts into your website's source code. All you have to do is upload your source code and download an experiment-ready version if that's your preference.

Why program when you can configure your experiment?

Transparent enabling works in tandem with Hiconversion's visual setup editor. This tool enables you to look at a live website page and dynamically define variable sections of your web page, assign content variations, as well as define conversion goals.

At the end of the experiment edit process, the editor will store to Hiconversion section identifying information, conversion goals, and variable content. The changes you have made will go into effect as soon as you press the play button.

With each new visitor, the Javascript calls Hiconversion's CRO product, requesting instructions about what to do and fetching variable content. The command instructions and variable content are assembled dynamically and delivered back to the web visitor browser in milliseconds. Inside the browser, it's then executed and the final version of the experimental web page is rendered.

This capability makes it possible to run many different experiments without any changes to page source code. It also enables automatic deployment of the winning page combination. No IT support, no Java coding, no manual content changes -- unlike other solutions in today's market.
