Visual test configuration…point-and-click simplicity

One of the most appealing aspects of the application is the ability to work with live web pages. The test setup process starts by entering the web address of the page to be tested. In the next step, the test page will appear on-screen, together with a visual editor overlay. All that needs to be done is to point-and-click on the components of the web page that you would like to test.

Similar to other optimization and web analytics solutions, JavaScript is used as a way of adding optimization capabilities to web pages. However, this is where the similarity ends.

Others: hardwired JavaScripts
Other multivariate testing solutions require the injection of multiple scripts in multiple locations on each of the web pages to be tested. For example, Google’s Website Optimizer requires insertion of four different types of scripts in very precise locations on your testing and conversion pages (see below).

The scripts are experiment-specific and have no reusability. Any change in the experiment setup requires a re-do of page scripting work!
